World Vision “Love Loaf” Harvest
Love Loaf Harvest Service 2009
On Sunday, November 22th, our Outrach Ministry and Missions Ministry led us in a celebration of harvest. The church alter was beautifully decorated and over-flowed with non-perishable food for the Pawcatuck Neighborhood Center (PNC - one of the many missions we support). There was just about enough room for Carolyn Burdick to fit all the bags of food into her car. She then took the food to the PNC for discribution to the needy.
Jane Hildreth, Chairperson of MM, prepared a special service lead by our young people, who presented the readings and the scripture, and who took the Sunday collection. They also emptied the "Love Loaf Bird Feaders" filled with coins into punch bowls. The money was counted and sent to "World Vision" to help feed the hungry.

Thank you to our youth who participated in this service: Liza Hall, Katherine Bodell, Charlotte Wheeler, Wes Hall, Skylar Bruegmann, and Bronte Stahl.
And a big thanks to Toni Nadherny who hosted the Harvest Sunday Pot Luck Luncheon. Beautiful decorations and a fire in the fireplace made for a warm and cozy time of sharing and giving thanks for all of us in attendance.
